2022.01.24 01:24 Atvolare Teleporting Assassin
Let's say that there's a hitman with the ability to teleport himself and any belongings on him to any location on Earth. His target is a political figure who's currently working in his office. The hitman teleports into the room in a blind spot where the security cameras won't capture him. He then proceeds to walk out in plain sight of the cameras and unloads his gun, killing the political figure. For some odd reason, he places his gun on the ground and then proceeds to stare at a camera, showing his face. Finally, he walks back into the blind spot and escapes via teleportation.
Literally a few minutes after, someone walks in and discovers the body. The police are called and the hitman's identity is quickly revealed from the camera footage. However, investigators soon find out that the killer is currently living on the opposite side of the planet where the political figure was murdered. It's determined that it's physically impossible for the hitman to be the killer because of the distance and timing. However, the security footage clearly shows his face, and the gun has his fingerprints all over it. Obviously, investigators would not even entertain the idea of teleportation because to them it's something out of fiction.
So in the end, how would the authorities respond to this situation?

2022.01.24 01:24 Phasmus Attic ventilation management
We have an improved attic space accessible with a spring-loaded ladder. The ladder hatch doesn't do much to impede airflow to the lower floor. The attic has a powered vent fan that kicks on in the summer to blow hot air out of the house but the vent is open to the air year-round. I'm worried we're letting too much of our warm air out through our roof, though I don't have any way of verifying that. Should we be doing something to block it off during the winter? And if so what's a good way to put a temporary patch over a vent grate in a painted ceiling?

Abandoned cars hide everywhere. 📷1 of 42 Photo in Gallery© Autocar
Some are truly concealed while others are hiding in plain sight. The lucky ones get discovered and sent straight to big-name auctions where they vie for the attention of collectors looking for an ambitious project.
However, the overwhelming majority of cars that fall into the ran-when-parked category simply sit in their final resting spot until they are crushed or until they return to nature one speck of rust at a time.

I reinstalled the 9.00 fw in safemode and tested the homebrew, this time i installed re sys through manual pkg instead on hb store and to my suprise it works now. Infavt goldhen loads fine as well and is visable but clicking its option causes the console to have a stroke and give me a system software error, trying to run hb apps as well does this. Is this just a limitation of using re sys? Should i use orbis instead?

2022.01.24 01:24 Sharkwouale Perfectly Splendid Trip to Planet Hollywood Resort!
I went to a trip to Planet Hollywood Cancun Resort this last January with 5 of my friends. Everything was nearly perfect, EXCEPT the COVID TEST at the clinic on site because of an extremely RUDE and unnecessarily ROUGH nurse (more info below).
SERVICE: The employees and waiters were really nice and helpful. They usually were one step ahead of us, bringing item real fast or even before we ask for it. For example, one morning I forgot to take a spoon at the buffet, I checked in my napkin, then I was about to get up to fetch one, but the waiter was already handing me a spoon. I was surprised at how attentive they were. We appreciated every waiters that served us, but our favourite one was ALBERTO! He served us at the buffet for breakfast and at the Gusto Italian restaurant for lunch. He remembered our names and preferences and enhanced our experience quite a lot.
SWIM OUT SUITE: We had three comfortable swim out suites. Which came with a private outdoor terrace to relax and a semi private pool. It was very convenient to have that, especially during a pandemic.
FOOD: The food was generally delicious!
- Gusto (Italian restaurant): 10/10 (The cheese gnocchi were amazing. And Alberto, our favourite waiter was always there for us at lunch!)
- Sutra (Indian restaurant): 10/10 (The chicken curry and garlic naan were our most praised meal there)
- La Cocina (Mexican restaurant): 8/10 (The melted cheese with mushroom starter was delicious!)
- Guy's! Burger Joint (Lunch restaurant): 8/10 (I'm not especially fan of burger that much, but those were very enjoyable! I would have liked more cheese in the "Real Cheesy Burger" though, but it was still good anyway)
- Sunset Strip Steakhouse & Grill restaurant: 8/10
- FUEL Coffee Co (Beverage to go): quality seemed to varies from time to time. The drinks were usually 9/10, but once in a while the ratio ice/beverage was so wrong that it was not enjoyable anymore, especially when they didn't crush the ice enough, but fortunately most of the time it was good!
- Teppanyaki Bar: Food 7/10, show: 10/10 (The show was totally worth it, but the food there was not very interesting. Basically meat and rice cooked in soya sauce, not exactly to my taste.)
- East Sushi: 7/10 (The pad thai was excellent, the sushi though: the taste and the texture of the rice were fine (which I'm generally kind of picky about), but the problem with their sushi is that they put way too much rice and not enough filling into their rolls. I was under the impression I was only eating balls of rice. If that small detail could be improved those sushi have real potential!)
- So Cal Gourmet Food Emporium (Buffet): 7/10 (The mask policy could have been enforced better, people weren't getting any warning for walking with their mask under their nose/mouth or without mask at all. Which was annoying because there was food on counter around them everywhere. The food was very good, a lot of different options were available. And Alberto, our favourite waiter was always there for us at breakfast!)
- The Shores Beach Club (Lunch buffet): 6/10 (The only purel dispenser was at the main entrance of the restaurant, placing one between the food and table section like in the other buffet could have been a little bit more convenient in my opinion. The Shores Beach buffet was also very small with not a lot of choice. We personally preferred to walk more in order to go to other restaurants instead.)
- Beverages at Bars: 9/10 most of the time they were delicious, but sometimes the ice was not crushed enough (or they put too much?) and when that happens the drinks were so dense they were hard to drink/pour. Fortunately most of the time the drinks were very good. The problem with ice seemed to happen once in a while no matter which bar we were at. Leaving the drinks a little more longer in the blender could solve that issue I think.
- Cinema 9/10: Seats were comfy, but a lot of the electric seats controls were broken and unable to adjust. Also the pop corn was prepared before hand, so it was cold and we couldn't ask to have it without salt and butter, so they were all cold and greasy. Having a popcorn machine in the cinema with a garnishing station could really enhance the whole experience. It's a tiny detail, but thought it was still worth mentioning since that resort is so close to perfection.
ROOM CLEANING 10/10: Personally we left the "do not disturb" sign on our door for the whole duration of the trip (We always do that no matter where we go), so we never truly experienced the room cleaning on a daily basis, but when we arrived it was pretty clean and we saw some employees dragging carpets in bags from other rooms, so they seem to sanitize everything very thoroughly.
MONEY CHANGE: I suggest people to already have small bills in their possession because it was kind of difficult to get our 500 and 1000pesos bills exchanged for smaller 100, 50 and 20 pesos bills. (Which is kind of normal, since they aren't a bank) We managed to get some by asking very early at the front desk and by asking the waiters to help us, but next time I will definitely do that at home instead.
MY THOUGHTS ABOUT BAD REVIEWS I READ: I'm very happy I didn't listened to those bad reviews. Especially those who said the service was bad and the drinks had barely any alcohol in it. Our group tipped not excessively but decently and the service was beyond excellent and our drink certainly always contained plenty of alcohol. I even had to ask for virgin drinks by the end of the evening to not get too intoxicated. The people complaining about that kind of stuff probably never gave a damn peso as tip.
ROOM SERVICE 9/10 : We used it two times. Once past midnight for party snacks and an other time very early in the morning to get something to eat before leaving for an excursion. Every time they delivered the food as fast as promised on the confirmation phone call. Food was still hot, the delivery guy was very kind.
TAKING APPOINTMENT FOR COVID TEST 5/10: Planing the appointment was kind of a hassle. At first we came too early, so they told us to come back at 11. Which was fine, but then when we arrived at the asked time, they told us to come back later again. We were a bit annoyed, but we did that. At our 3rd tentative, they tried to post pone again... We had to argue gently about the situation so that they could finally let us make an appointment for our tests. So we found it kind of irritating to waste nearly a day of back and forth there just to take a simple appointment.
GETTING TESTED 3/10: The nurse was very rude. I told her upfront that I was afraid and to please be gentle (because I am autistic and also have perpetual none allergic rhinitis, which makes my sinus extremely sensible) she just told me to sit down and didn't even tried to be gentle. The test hurted a lot. (Even 2 days after, the inside of my nose and the area around my eye were still hurting) I was a bit in shock when she removed the stick from my nose because of the sharp pain. So I froze and stayed sit for a few seconds on the chair. She didn't even ask me if I was ok and just told me to get up and leave. My husband that has a lot of experience into receiving covid PCR test said that normally the procedure is supposed to be painless, but it wasn't the case with that one. Even him found it to hurt quite a lot. Two of my friends even had their nose bleeding on the spot while receiving the test. The nurse didn't seemed to care at all and my friends had to leave the test room and find kleenex on their own for their nose bleed. Seriously, that nurse shouldn't be administering those tests. She is incredibly rude and unnecessarily rough. We took our test on January 20th 2022 at 9H40.
RECEIVING RESULTS 9/10: Per chance our result were sent to us pretty quickly. We heard from some other people on the resort that it wasn't always the case and some people needed to call them to have the missing tests results from a few members of their family. Can't testify for that part, but it was pretty stressful to hear those stories during our wait. They made a mistake in my email address, but we had the chance to ask for a correction right before getting tested, so in the end, that part about receiving the result on time was ok, at least for us.
ON A SIDE NOTE: January was cold AF. Next time I'm going in March or April.
Don't hesitate to book there, this hotel is awesome!

2022.01.24 01:24 tcbja99 Draft of 1984 Princess 45 flybridge?
My grandfather has a 1984 Princess 45 flybridge and my cousin and I have just found a 1990 Viking 45 Convertible that we think may interest him. Issue is that draft is a major factor as the channel to leave the mooring is very shallow and the Princess can only JUST make it out.
The ad for the Viking says max draft 4ft but in my research for the Princess I have found all sorts of numbers ranging from 3ft, 3ft9, 3ft11 all the way up to 4ft10 (and I'm sure I might find similar if I were to do the same for the viking).
My question is does anyone know how the drafts of these 2 actually compare? Failing that, does anyone have a reliable max draft number for either of them?

2022.01.24 01:24 Equinox122 Haworth Fern - wobbly armrests?
I've ordered a Haworth Fern with only height-adjustable armrests (only ones offered here) and I found out the left armrest was not rigid, I could move it left/right if I tried (it would rotate clockwise/anticlockwise if you looked from top down). The right armrest was fully rigid and didn't do this.
I returned this and got another, and it's got the same issue. Whatever way the plastic connects between the armrest and the frame is not properly glued on, or is just a bit loose.
Question is, is this normal, or am I getting 2 defective units in a row? I'm not keen to pay that much money without being sure I'm not getting played.

2022.01.24 01:24 supplementtolife Mom is turning 65, but has become bedridden and unable to do much. Need help with understanding social security and medicare and how to get her onto it.
As stated in the title- Mom is turning 65 this year. All plans she's made- No one has any idea about. Parents are divorced and Dad has disappeared when I was 9, so there's no one to help her really. I have no idea what's going on or anything at all. She's incapable of doing things herself much at all anymore.
All that's left is me.
How do I get her social security all set up and proper? We've gotten a letter in the past that stated how much she'll get, but Mom lost that.
How do I ensure that medicare is also set up and proper for when she turns 65?
I don't know the first thing about it, and google really sucks at giving proper, straight forward information.
